If you are a parent with a new diagnosis given to your child that leaves you feeling a little scared and nervous of what to do next...Welcome! At MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, we know how it feels! Listen to some of our own stories of parents and children a like! We welcome you with open arms.
Parent Coaching
At MetroEHS, our Core Values include supporting the family unit. One way we do this is by supporting the parents through Parent Coaching sessions. It is imperative that the BCBA's and parents have time set aside each week to connect on the progress of the child, strategies for home, school and community and any concerns the parent may have. We want to ensure that the parents have the tools to navigate the path forward and have a healthy working relationship with MetroEHS therapists
Parent Coaching Sessions include:
-Education and training of Applied Behavior Analytic concepts and processes
-Outlines the specific teaching methods utilized
-Provides real time access to the client’s therapy team to discuss progress and ensure that the goals your family has prioritized are generalized across settings
Sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the family; however weekly hour-long sessions are standard.
MetroEHS believes that a parent or caregiver's role is vital to the success of the child. This makes partnering with the parent paramount in the step by step growth of the child and helps make a lasting and positive impact.
